The fourth Cyberinfrastructure Day 2017 (CI Day) was held on October 4 at Memorial Union on the University of Missouri campus. The theme was "Leveraging Shared Resources for Innovation and Discovery."
CI Day
- Is for faculty, research scientists, graduate students, post-docs, and research-support staff who use (or are interested in using) advanced computing technologies for research.
- Offers practical information on resources, services, and emerging technologies, plus expert resources.
- Offers the opportunity to make your CI needs known and discuss issues of concern regarding the use of advanced computing in research and MU’s cyberinfrastructure.

- Welcome and CIO Update -- Dr. Gary Allen (UM Vice President Information Technology and MU Chief Information Officer)
- CI Update, Introduction of CI Council Members, and Keynote Introduction -- Dr. Timothy Middelkoop (Director, Research Computing Support Services and Assistant Teaching Professor Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering)
- Keynote: NSF's Vision, Strategy, and Support of Collaborative Cyberinfrastructure -- Irene M. Qualters (Division Director of Advanced Cyberinfrastructure (ACI) at the National Science Foundation (NSF) in Arlington, VA)
- Keynote: Stories from the Front Lines: How We Connect Researchers and Resources in Unique Ways -- Dr. Mark McIntosh (UM Vice President for Research and Economic Development; and MU Vice Chancellor for Research, Graduate Studies and Economic Development; and Professor Department of Molecular Microbiology and Immunology)
