The University of Missouri geology alumni graduate directory, 1958
(University of Missouri Alumni Association., 1958) University of Missouri
"The Department of Geology of the University of Missouri has compiled a directory of all Geology Alumni. Graduation lists, alumni file lists, post-card returns from alumni, membership lists of national organizations, and various other sources of information have been used to compile the list and to establish up-to-date addresses. Only those persons who have received a degree from the University of Missouri with a major in Geology are included. We realize that the directory will contain mistakes and will omit some persons that should be included. Many addresses will be out of date by the time the directory can be printed and mailed. We beg your indulgence and ask you to report to us all mistakes found. The record will be continued and a second edition will be issued within a few years. The directory consists of an alphabetical list of alumni and a listing according to year of graduation. An asterisk in front of the name denotes that the person is deceased. The directory has been printed and distributed by the University of Missouri Alumni Association. We hope the users of the directory will continue their support of the Alumni Achievement Fund and, if they so desire, will designate contributions for use by the Department of Geology."--Page [1].

The University of Missouri, Directory of Medical Alumni and Fomer Students, University of Missouri School of Medicine, 1959
(University of Missouri Alumni Association; Medical School Alumni Association, 1959) Stephenson, Hugh E., Jr.; University of Missouri
"...In this directory the data is presented in three chapters-alphabetical, geographical and class registration by years. Listing begins with the 1874 class. Only graduates receiving the M.D degree are listed until 1890. With the establishment of the three-year course on medicine, all students are listed with their years of attendance, whether they received the M.D. degree or not. Whenever a class member is listed as deceased that fact is recorded in his class list by a star. His name is then automatically dropped from the alphabetical and geographical lists. Students are classified with their entering classes through 1947. Classes after 1947 list recipients of degrees from Missouri University. Irregular students are recorded in the alphabetical list which gives the years of attendance. Many students have registered in the University School of Medicine but cannot be traced to graduation. Some of them, no doubt, abandoned medicine..."--Page 4.

A Directory of Students of the School of Journalism, 1908-1958
(University of Missouri, 1958) University of Missouri
"The publication of an alumni directory for the School of Journalism as a 50th Anniversary project has been an enormous job. Every effort has been made to include full biographical information on the 6,485 names listed in this volume as graduates of the School. Mailings seeking information were sent to all graduates listed in the University alumni office, as well as in the records of the School of Journalism. Mimeographed class lists for every year were mailed to every graduate with a known address, seeking whereabouts of classmates. In spite of this a number of biographies are not available for including in this directory. This book has been compiled and edited under the direction of Assistant Professor Sara Lockwood Williams, Mrs. Faye Lander, editorial assistant, and the 50th Anniversary staff. Associate Professor Paul Fisher and Lino type School Instructors Tom Bell and Roger Kilby have handled production of the book. The considerable cost of the paper and the commercial presswork and binding has been borne by the University of Missouri Alumni Association. Because of this generous assistance by the University through the alumni office to the School of Journalism on the occasion of its anniversary, copies of the book have been made available gratis to those who furnished biographical directory material. This is the first Missouri Journalism Directory since the 1938 volume. It is my sincere belief that Mrs. Williams and Dr. Fisher and their assistants, through their diligent efforts in making this book available, have made animportant contribution to the 50th Anniversary celebration of the Schoolof Journalism. The supplement in the latter pages of this book contains listings that were received after the announced April 30, 1958, closing date for material. EARL ENGLISH, Dean, School of Journalism, July 31, 1958"--Introduction.
