Department of Agricultural Systems Management (MU)

Permanent URI for this community

Agricultural systems management (ASM) is the study of how physical systems (machinery, electrical power, soil and water) can be most effectively used in modern agricultural production. ASM faculty conduct research in and prepare students for this field. In essence, this program provides a link between the researcher, designer, engineer, manufacturer and the consumer. The curriculum combines applied agricultural technology with business and economics. Students gain real-world experience through internships and study-abroad opportunities. ASM graduates are prepared for careers in agricultural and power manufacturing, equipment sales, food production and processing, and government.
