Abstract

Wildlife species such as bobwhite quail, mourning doves, cottontail rabbits, wild turkey and white-tailed deer provide recreational and hunting opportunities for Missouri citizens. Missouri's wildlife resources are dependent on the management decisions made by private landowners, as over 90 percent of the land base is privately owned.
