The medical school at the University of Missouri has undergone many changes and has resisted even more. This article covers some of the history of MU's School of Medicine by examining the lives and careers of three figures instrumental in the School: Dr. Wesley Platner, Dr. Hugh Stephenson, Jr., and Dr. Lester R. Bryant.
