Abstract
As a medium for news dissemination, the photojournalistic multi-picture project requires precise management and curation strategies. As a newsroom's "visually elite" executive, the photo editor must direct photographers of varying experience levels and collaborate with other newsroom staff to successfully produce an impactful, visually cohesive project. Through interviews with photo professionals, the research aims to discover how photo editors manage and curate extensive photo projects while leading an editorial staff. Additionally, the project will include a professional component of the researcher managing and curating an extensive multimedia project through the Columbia Missourian.
