Abstract
This project examines in depth experiences of seven American Muslim converts based on personal interviews. It analyzes how framing of Muslims in American mainstream media after 9/11 changed people's attitudes towards them. It also focuses on the implications of media's framing on their social and personal life. Finally, this study tries to find whether these negative attitudes due to media's misrepresentation had any bearing on their identity or not.
