Abstract
"This publication reports the results of a project to evaluate selected commercially developed farm accounting software packages for microcomputers. The four software packages evaluated were Secretary of Agriculture -- Transaction by FBS, Red Wing Business Systems' General Ledger, Harvest Computer's Horizon Accounting, and Farm Management Inc.'s Financial Manager (FMS). These were thought to be the four software packages of greatest current interest among Missouri farmers owning microcomputers. Selection of these four for evaluation does not imply endorsement of these software packages nor criticism of those not selected for review."--First paragraph.
