Abstract

"The Missouri Symphony Society Preforming Arts Center (MOSSPAC) begins its 1978 season with a unique reputation as a preformance mecca for the musical arts. To former members of MOSSPAC, the Society's SUMMER WITH PURPOSE is more than a slogan. It is a way of life and a turning point in many important careers. The limited enrollment insures individual counseling and an invaluable close contact with excel lent artists. A unique system of coaching in all ensembles and organizations affords constant attention, inspiration, and amazing progress. Performances of every type of music provide exposure to all aspects of artistic and intellectual activities. Participants learn by doing in a challenging and stimulating environment of artistic devotion. The unique combination of involvement in the art of music and professionalism in performance has been hailed by critics, educators, the press, and former participants."
