Abstract

Shamrock VII which has come into being, watered by the fountain of saintly inspiration and cared for by the ever willing hand, has grown to represent its master, the Noble Saint Patrick and to be used by him even as its predecessor shave been from the dawn of civilization, to more clearly demonstrate and visualize to the outside world his teachings and to exemplify the works of his chosen followers, the Engineers. In compiling this short treatise on technical philosophy and true old fashioned engineering spirit, it was not the aspiration of the staff to attain the lofty goal of the Immortal Shakespeare nor is the philosophy herein attempted to be compared with that of Darwin or Ruskin. ยท The literary and philosophic superstructure is simply placed to finish out and embellish the under lying idea of showing .and stimulating that spirit which born of Saint Patrick has -been handed down by him to the Engineer and has won for the Engineer the world-wide reputation of being a man who when he finishes his task, no matter what its nature, may say with Caesar, "Veni, Vidi, Vici." -- Preface.
