Abstract
"The organization of the Department of Music in the College of Arts and Science at the University of Missouri offers the complete facilities of a professional music school along with availability of courses in many other fields. The educational, cultural, and social resources of the University give the music student opportunities for University education directly suited to his individual needs. The Department of Music is an institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Music. It has enlarged greatly in the past years; but has never neglected the individual attention and personal relationship between student and teacher. The effectiveness of this instruction is attested by the success of graduates in the professional world of concert, opera, radio, television and the teaching profession."--page 5.
