Abstract
My research has consisted of studying the histories and current trends of both traditional quilting and fine art quilting. My hope was to understand whether the two schools are connected and if so how they affect each other. Though the two histories do not coincide as I had expected, they are related in this way: The new knowledge that I, an artist, have of traditional quilting has inspired several pieces of art. I would like to display these works, along with images of the traditional quilts that inspired them.
