Abstract
The Performance Diagnostic Checklist for Human Services (PDC-HS) was developed to address the need for a performance diagnostic tool in the field of human services and applied behavior analysis (ABA) (Carr et al., 2013). This study used a quality improvement framework to apply the PDC-HS within a non-for-profit ABA autism clinic setting. The PDC-HS was given to both supervisors and staff and their results were compared. Using a multiple baseline across participants single subject design, this study evaluated whether implementing a performance improvement intervention based upon an employee's PDC-HS results (rather than a supervisor's results) would result in meaningful improvement in the staff member's implementation of naturalistic behavioral interventions. This study addressed several limitations and recommendations from previous research on the PDC-HS and revealed that employeechosen interventions based upon the PDC-HS can result in meaningful employee performance improvement with high social validity.
