Abstract
Gender has an impact on sports podcasting for the hosts and audience members. A new mass media concept of podcasting helps audiences to gain easier access to their sports news. The paper will explore female sports reporters' observations about audiences, questioning their credibility over male reporters. Studies have shown workplaces like ESPN struggle to obtain gender equality. Investigating the issue of gender inequalities within sports podcasting, through the lenses of feminist theory and credibility, could explain how the experiences of male and female college journalism students and post-graduates may vary within sports podcasting.
