Abstract
"Most of Missouri's country grain elevators are regulated by the state of Missouri. Regulation includes terms of trade and bonding requirements. The regulations provide protection for grain producers as they transact business with the elevators. The financial well-being of elevators provides the underpinning for the system. The objectives of this report are (1) to assess the current financial status of the industry, and (2) to appraise financial trends experienced by firms in the industry."--Page 1.
