Abstract
This project is intended to educate and entertain audiences by presenting them with a creative interpretation of war-time resistance. Using the city of Arnhem, located in the Netherlands, as the location for the play, attention is given to a fairly undocumented region at the outset of the Second World War. Historical research on the organization and methodology of Nazi-resistance groups provided a base upon which to develop characters, and a study of the Dutch under Nazi-occupation motivated the action of the play. Above all, this play shows the endurance of good as it struggles against evil, and provides audiences with a look at the lives of those who took up arms against the tyranny of the Third Reich.
