Abstract
"Feed costs are 70 to 80 percent of the bill for producing swine. A ration's effectiveness depends on: 1) adequacy and balance of ingredients, 2) level of herd health and 3) genetic ability of the animals to gain quickly and efficiently. Ingredients needed are grain, protein supplement, vitamins and minerals. Water is necessary, and antibiotics and certain medications may be beneficial."--First page.
