President Ratchford, in this gleaning of a conference statement on the "State of the University," presents his thoughts and ideas on how the university has dealt with such issues as growth, and his vision for the coming decade. President Ratchford called this meeting of the Vice Presidents, the Chancellors, the Inter-campus Faculty Council, and the presidents of the Faculty Councils or Senates on respective campuses on June 19, 1973.
