Abstract
The following pages will be devoted to a brief consideration of certain questions of interest to all who expect to follow the profession of medicine. It is important that all prospective medical students should know the present status of medicine, its advantages and disadvantages as a profession, the opportunities which it offers and the qualifications necessary for success. It is especially important that the general principles underlying sound medical education be clearly understood and that data be made available which will enable those interested to judge of the relative merits of the numerous medical schools in this country.--Page 3.
