Abstract
"A copy of an early sixteenth-century Italian engraving entitled Iphigenia Recognizing Her Brother Orestes (Bartsch XIV, 194), at-tributed to Agostino Veneziano, is in the collections of the Museum of Art and Archaeology. While the print itself is of only moderate quality -- Agostino having produced both finer and poorer works -- it is of interest in that it offers a glimpse of an average sixteenth-century artist's attitude toward both his public and the antique."--First paragraph.
