Abstract
This dissertation-in-practice investigates the development of belonging among Black middle school students transitioning from predominantly Black to predominantly White schools in the St. Louis region. Grounded in Critical Race Theory (CRT) and Sense of Belonging research, the study seeks to illuminate the complex interplay between race, racism, and power in these students' experiences.
