Abstract
"Producing poultry for meat in mobile houses, or "chicken tractors," is an innovative solution to pasturing poultry. These lightweight, portable structures provide the birds with access to commercial feed and water as well as the ground, forages and insects, while keeping them protected from predators and the weather. Pasture-raised poultry also fertilize the soil and help control harmful insect populations while being continuously rotated to new habitat to minimize buildup of harmful pathogens." -- first page
