The MU Choral Union, University Singers, and the Columbia Civic Orchestra premiered Stefan Freund's oratorio The War Amongst Families and Neighbors: The Civil War in Missouri as part of the University of Missouri School of Music and University Concert Series in April 2014. The performance featured soprano Lindsey Lang, tenor Stevan Tharp, and baritone Timothy Jones with R. Paul Crabb conducting.
