Abstract

"Producing eggs using mobile houses, otherwise known as "chicken tractors" or "egg mobiles," can be a profitable enterprise with low barriers to entry. These lightweight, portable structures provide hens with access to feed, water, shelter and protection from predators while allowing access to forages and insects. Pasture-raised poultry also fertilize the soil and help control harmful insect populations." -- first page
