Abstract

"This budget presents information useful to swine farmers. Table 1 presents estimates for a farrow to finish operation in Missouri with production of 22 pigs per sow per year and selling market hogs at 280 pounds. Assumptions were based on price forecasts as of November 2020. Detailed assumptions and feed requirements are summarized in Tables 2 and 3. The production practices used to develop these cost estimates are common for swine farms in Missouri. Farmers are encouraged to modify this budget to fit their operation."--First page.
