Abstract
The present project is examining the clashing perspectives of investigative journalists and national security experts when it comes to the leaking of classified information by whistleblowers. This project attempts to address the question of when journalists cross the line to put citizens lives at risk when leaking classified information obtained by whistleblowers or informants, as well as how the two clashing perspectives can work together in the future to provide more transparency and cooperation, while at the same time protecting the work of national security experts and agencies aimed at preventing terrorist attacks, counterintelligence and espionage, as well as protecting citizens lives.
