Abstract
This presentation looks at the difference between Computerized Aided Drafting (CAD) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technologies, and how they can work together within the same organization. CID systems automate drafting functions, while GIS technologies fill in gaps left by CID systems. To work to the fullest extent, they need to interface with one another.
