Abstract
Conducted a pilot study consisting of informal collections across the Vancouver metropolitan area from April to September of 2000. The primary study was conducted from March to August 2001, cut into five seasons: late winter (15 March to 14 April), early spring(15 April to 14 May), late spring (15 May to 14 June), early summer (15 June to 14 July) and late summer (15 July to 15 August). A total of 25 sites were distributed into 5 categories: City gardens (6), naturescape flower beds and backyards (6), wild areas (8), and traditional flower beds and backyards (5).
