Abstract
"The joint University of Missouri / University of Michigan expedition returned to Tel Anafa in the Upper Galilee of Israel for two more months of excavation in the summer of 1980. In this eighth season of excavation at the site we continued to concentrate our efforts on the Graeco-Roman levels of the mound, uncovering more of the Hellenistic stuccoed building which occupies much of the northern sector of the tel. The work in 1980 revealed more of the complex history and plan of this important building and brought to light some of the most impressive finds yet unearthed at Tel Anafa."--First paragraph.
