Abstract

As influencers continue to grow in popularity, it is important to better understand how and why audiences choose to engage with influencers in the health and fitness category, as well as what characteristics of influencers help drive this message acceptance. Female participants aged 18-24 reflect on their motivations for engaging with health and fitness influencers and the criteria they use to evaluate the influencers they follow.
