Abstract

Flat plate oscillating heat pipes are a relatively new and developing technology. They show much promise for advanced thermal management of current and future electronics cooling. However, while making them is easy, modeling them is not. A mathematical model was obtained and tested for a low flow environment. Results were found to be quite accurate. This is an important step towards designing for specific needs and general use.
