Abstract

"When a family builds or remodels a home, they usually hire a contractor or a carpenter. Most of the business relations between such parties are good. However, when a good relationship fails, the cause is usually a misunderstanding about construction or ocher phases of the improvement. Generally these unfortunate situations can be avoided by having a complete understanding and agreement about the job before it starts. Open communication is necessary at all stages. The purpose of chis Guide is co help establish good business relations between the owner and builder, to bring about maximum efficiency during construction, and to result in lower coses and a well built home."--First page.
