Abstract

On Mar. 6, 2008 Stuart Loory and four panelists look at the Russian presidential election and its outcome: Vladimir Putin anointed Dmitry Medvedev to succeed him as that nation’s President, and the president-elect chose none other than Putin himself to be his future prime minister. The opinions diverge about what will remain the same and what could change within Russia and with its relations with the U.S. – which is on its own path to elect a new president.
