This issue of the President's Bulletin transmits on behalf of the Academic Planning Council a policy statement about the development of the University Academic Plan. The members of the Academic Planning Council are the Chancellors of the four campuses plus the Vice Presidents for Academic Affairs, Administration, and Extension and Research.

The President's Bulletin of January 25, 1974 contained a calendar for preparing the University Academic Plan. This calendar called for a first discussion draft to appear soon after February 27, 1974. This issue of the Bulletin carries the first tentative version of the University Academic Plan. Comments are to reach the Academic Planning Council by March 15. The final draft should reach all faculty members shortly after April 1.
