Measuring Irrigation Water in a Ditch, Stream or Reservoir (1993)

Measuring water is necessary to efficiently use water resources in irrigation farming. Over-irrigation can be as detrimental as under-irrigation and is economically unjustified. Management decisions must be based on the amount of water used and how this relates to plants and soil.
