Abstract: Nonselective nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) increase the risk of gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding in patients taking warfarin. (SOR: B, based on 1 cohort and 2 case-control studies.) The safety of cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitors is unproven in this clinical situation.
