Abstract: A REformed edition of Colonel G. A. Jacob's Laukikanyāyāñjali. The Laukikanyāyāñjali, a compilation by Colonel G. A. Jacob, is a collective contribution of many scholars with whom the Colonel had been in touch personally or by correspondence. Jacob had an inquisitive mind and gathered his information from every possible source for the collection, assemblage, and interpretation of the nyayas incorporated by him in his Anjali. The Laukikanyāyāñjali originally consisted of three parts (called Handfuls), published over a period of almost quarter of a century. The were revised and reprinted several times in many editions. Its English title is--A Handful of Popular Maxims.
