Abstract: A patient's sun exposure history is positively associated with the development of cataracts. (SOR: C, based on heterogeneous case-control studies.) Wearing sunglasses to decrease exposure likely reduces the risk of cataract formation and is recommended. (SOR: C, based on a case-control study and expert guidelines.)
