Abstract: Improvements are clearly seen with 1 hour of moderate intensity exercise 3 to 4 times a week. (SOR: A, based on a meta-analysis.) Increasing energy expenditure as little as 10 metabolic equivalents (METS) per hour per week likely has some benefit. (SOR: B, based on a single RCT.)
