dc.description.abstract | In response to the inherent complexity of siting, permitting, routing, designing, constructing, and managing large Wind Farms, Burns & McDonnell has developed a Google Earth solution, ONETouchPMTM, which integrates various information systems used during these phases into a virtual 3D world. By integrating all facility lifecycle data into a single interface, owners and managers are able to more efficiently deliver critical information to decision makers and project stakeholders. Implementing ONETouchPM™ for Wind Farms during the development and construction stages brings tremendous efficiency benefits and risk mitigation strategies to project execution. Once the Wind Farm is online, the same system can be used to integrate asset management and operation systems into a single real-time virtual environment. | eng |
