In October 2005, the Health Sciences Library at the University of Missouri-Columbia introduced a clinical librarian service for interns, residents, and faculty of the Department of Child Health. The clinical librarian attends Morning Report, an educational conference for interns and residents. The librarian listens for gaps in knowledge during the conference; searches for answers to questions both expressed and implied; and reports findings to the group. The librarian also works with individual interns and residents on finding answers to clinical questions and teaches sessions on evidence-based practice.eng
