    Abstract
[ACCESS RESTRICTED TO THE UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI AT REQUEST OF AUTHOR.] The composition is based on a Korean folk tale. The dried persimmon legend's original name is 'The Tiger and the Dried Persimmon'. The composition consists of two movements, each in a different mood. The two movements have a narrative story related to each other. It is an orchestral work with computer-generated sounds, with quotes from Korean musical materials, such as Korean folk tunes and rhythmic motives. The compositional focus is a Korean musical style with my own interpretation.
