Anatomy of Ascidia viridis u. sp.
Abstract
All the observations for this description were made from specimens preserved either in formalin or picro-formalin. The formalin specimens, which were left in the test, were found to be in the best condition. Those preserved in picro-formalin were more or less contracted. The material was collected by Dr. George Lefevre in the harbor of Beaufort N.C. during the summer of 1901. It was dredged up in water from there to six fathoms deep, and was found in great abundance.
