Is triptan therapy a safe option for acute migraine in pregnancy?
Metadata[+] Show full item record
Triptan therapy is not associated with an increased risk of congenital malformations at any time in pregnancy or adverse effects in the first trimester. However, there is an increased risk of complications if triptans are used in later pregnancy, especially preterm birth, atonic uterus, and greater average total blood loss (SOR: B, observational cohort studies).
