dc.description.abstract | Geo-Informatics are the integration of: a)GIS - geographic information systems, b) Remote Sensing - satellite and aircraft, c)GPS - global positioning systems and d)Digital photogrammetry, all in the larger context of information technologies (IT) and computer systems. This presentation discusses technological and organizational reasons to use Geo-Informatics, as well as some of the thousands of applications for this technology. It goes on to look at some strategies for storing data in a Geo-Informatics System. | eng |
