This presentation looks at a proposal for the formation of national standards for Geospatial data. It looks at duties and subcommittees of the Federal Geographic Data Committee, with specific focus on the Standards Working Group. It also includes their recent activities and progress they have made. It briefly offers a definition of metadata and how it is used in geospatial data. It offers questions which should be asked by those developing the standards, then lists the principles of geospatial data standards in general.eng
