Impacts of Increased Ethanol and Biodiesel Demand
Abstract
This analysis examines the impacts of a scenario designed to enhance the demand for
ethanol and biodiesel. The scenario focuses on the implications of increased usage of
corn and soybean oil for the purposes of producing ethanol and biodiesel, respectively. The impacts are measured against baseline projections prepared by the Food and Agricultural Policy Research Institute (FAPRI).
