dc.description.abstract[ACCESS RESTRICTED TO THE UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI AT REQUEST OF AUTHOR.] This study presents first results on the topographic survey and shallow seismic reflection profile to assess Quaternary faulting in the northwestern Wind River Basin, Wyoming. Degradation model suggests too old fault scarp ages comparing them with estimated correlation ages, which leads to the conclusion that these scarps are fold scarps, and this kind of scarp folding interpreted as monocline. Interpretation of a break in reflection dipping toward the north is a high angle reverse fault. Therefore, the surface expression of the monocline formed as result of subsurface fault displacement.eng
