The First and second Dalhousie manuscripts : poems and prose

Discovered in 1977 amoung the papers of the Dalhousie family at the Scottish Record Office in Edinburgh and purchased by Texas Tech University in 1983, the First and Second Dalhousie Manuscripts contain, respectively, forty-four and twenty-nine of Donne's most studied poems as they were copied during his lifetime. Additionally, the manuscripts contain poems by Francis Bacon, Francis Beaumont, Thomas Campion, Richard Corbett, Sir John Davies, Sir Edward Dyer, Sir John Harington, John Hoskyns, George Morley, Sir Thomas Overbury [...], Sir Walter Ralegh [i.e., Raleigh], Jonathan Richards, Sir John Roe, Joshua Sylvester, and Sir Henry Wotton, as well as several anonymous and possibly unique English and Scottish Renaissance lyrics. -- Book jacket.
