Title: Picket Dam Storage for Dairy Manure
Author: Fulhage, Charles Duane
Keywords: dairy waste management
picket dams
Date: 1995-08
Publisher: University of Missouri Extension
Abstract: Dairy manure can be handled as a solid, semi-solid, slurry or dilute liquid such as a lagoon. Solid dairy manure contains significant amounts of bedding and no added water, so that the resulting material will stack, and it can be handled easily with conventional manure equipment (front-end loaders and beater-type spreaders).
